There are a lot of cool ways to develop heightened intuition and increase your psychic skills. There are also a lot of boring ways to develop them as well.
Take for example, any number of psychic development books out there. I am sure some of them are fabulous and are very helpful, but I don’t know that for sure. I have never fully read one cover to cover, let alone practiced any of the techniques (I am guessing) they include. The reason? They bore me to tears!
It’s like my eyes glaze over and I start thinking about the latest episode of the Real Housewives or I think about really important things like whether I ought to make regular or mango margaritas later.
As helpful as those books may be for some, they serve as shelf-decorations for me.
Instead, I prefer to find fun ways to learn new things. You know, hands-on stuff that can be applied immediately and don’t feel like a chore.
In my quest for finding those fun things, I came across something that can really help develop intuition and you only need one thing: a deck of cards!
Here’s how it works:
See? Way more fun than reading some stuffy book!
So, what happens when you nail this exercise and find it too easy? Mix it up a little! Try to intuit the suit (Spades, Diamonds, Clovers, and Hearts) of each card next. When you rock that one, do suit and color. Not only that, but you can easily use this exercise to develop each of your 4 Clairs: Claircognizance, Clairaudience, Clairvoyance, and Clairsentience.
Use the same basic instructions listed above and practice using one Clair over and over until you get good at it. Once you check that one off the list, try another. Of course, if you are super Claircognizant and have never had a Clairvoyant moment in your life or have no interest in developing your Clairvoyance, stick with what you like. You certainly don’t have to practice with all your Clairs.
We’re keeping this fun, remember?
Here’s how you would practice each Clair:
Clairvoyance (a.k.a. clear seeing): See in your ‘mind’s eye’ the color of the card.
Claircognizance (a.k.a. clear knowing): Take a moment to just trust your gut that you know the card color and choose which pile to put the card in.
Clairaudience (a.k.a. clear hearing): Clear your mind and wait for the name of the color of the card to pop up in your head out of nowhere. This may happen with one word answers or with full sentences.
Clairsentience (a.k.a. clear feeling): assign a feeling to each color like excitement for red and dread for black. Feel the card and see if you get an excited feeling or a feeling of dread.
There are a lot of ways you can mix and match the above techniques to challenge yourself. Of course, if you get really good, you could always head to Vegas!
