One of the scariest things that new (and even seasoned) psychics have to face is the moment they tell other people about their gifts; especially when first starting out.
We deal with ridicule, judgment, and those who think what we do is complete bull. On a positive note, we can also receive encouragement, support, and love as we go on our journey of light work and healing.
It’s not always easy, but is (in my opinion) worth it.

As healers, dealing with the day-to-day can be particularly challenging. We, as humans, already navigate a lot in life. We deal with physicality, sexuality, politics, finances, emotions, and more. This level of complexity bonds us as the human race, and it isn’t easy.
When one is a healer, it can sometimes feel that the common issues people deal with are intensified tenfold.
We are not only trying to work on our own lives but also tend to take on other people’s challenges...

Whether you are an Emotional Empath or not, the holidays (and the family dynamics that come with them) can be extremely stressful. Siblings bickering at the dinner table, your mother-in-law judging your cooking, or your uncle hitting the egg nog a little too hard, can all add up to an overload of emotion and anxiety for you.
Even if your uncle doesn’t hit the nog this year, most of us have one friend, relative, or neighbor that drives us bananas during the holiday season.
Am I right?

There are a lot of cool ways to develop heightened intuition and increase your psychic skills. There are also a lot of boring ways to develop them as well.
Take for example, any number of psychic development books out there. I am sure some of them are fabulous and are very helpful, but I don’t know that for sure. I have never fully read one cover to cover, let alone practiced any of the techniques (I am guessing) they include. The reason? They bore me to tears!
It’s like my eyes glaze over...

Here’s the deal. Learning to read for people is really hard. It takes a lot of practice, a lot of trust, and a lot of guts.
I was willing to practice, was beginning to trust myself (and my Guides), and am a gutsy person in general. That being said, I also didn’t feel like the techniques I was learning were setting me up to give readings with tangible results.
Sure, I could probably do a reading where someone had questions and I could intuitively feel the answer one way or another...

Have you ever wondered whether people really have Spirit Guides or whether the ‘guidance’ they receive is just some crap they made up in their heads?
Yeah. I wondered, too.
I mean, I had never talked to a Spirit Guide. I had certainly never seen one. Not to mention the fact that if I really did have someone guiding me in my life, they must have been awful, based on some of the guys I dated over the years.
Where was my divine guidance then?

Back in the day, I used to own a soap shop where I made handcrafted artisan soap and sold it at the local Saturday farmer’s market. I remember one particular Saturday to be especially frustrating.
You know, the I want to strangle every person I come into contact with type of morning? Yeah, that.
First off, I woke up late (because I was up hanging with friends the night before. Whoops), my much-needed morning run to Starbucks took forever, then my tent broke. What the heck?

This may sound silly, but Theresa Caputo (a.k.a. the Long Island Medium), completely changed my life one Saturday afternoon.
At the time, I was the owner of a fairly successful and super fun soap company whose tagline was, “Being Dirty Has Never Been This Much Fun.”
Cheeky, don’t you think?
Anyway, the opening day of the local farmer’s market was coming up and I had a lot of soap to make in order to be ready for the season. Normally, I would have been super (overly) prepared...

Here’s the story of how living in a real haunted house changed my marriage, started me on my spiritual journey, and taught me to trust my intuition.
It started in August 2013, right before my younger son’s first birthday when we decided to move into a less expensive house in the small town of Issaquah, Washington.
We we're looking to save a little money (which eventually backfired on us!) and found a quaint rambler on the banks of Issaquah Creek. It was sort of dingy and a little smelly...
